This is an interactive VR exhibition I worked on with Andrew Yip for the Art Gallery of NSW to showcase the restoration work done on a painting of Henry VIII that resides in the gallery collection.
We took scanned element maps of the painting and videos of the restoration process, then put them together in a VR experience where you can interact with a tudor art studio and the various materials used for painting, then go into the future and see how the painting was restored.
This is the first VR exhibition the Art Gallery of NSW has done to do with exploring how they maintain and restore works, and was the first to take place within the old section of the gallery space.
HenryVR runs alongside the 2018 Archibald exhibition from May to September 2018.
